EVESHAM Vale Running Club enjoyed success at the Stratford Big 10k.

In a field of nearly 800 runners, Simon Hall won his age category and finished fifth overall in 37 minutes 22 seconds, two places ahead of club-mate David Reid (38.14).

Steven Peters crossed the line third for the club in 41.31, helping to secure the men’s team prize.

Other Evesham runners taking part in the race included Colin Tether (46.24), Mike Crowther (46.55), Corin Elliot (47.02), Robert Hale (51.12) and Cara Groves (54.47).
