TEENAGER Rosie Hegarty is going from strength to strength in the world of pony riding following a string of recent successes.

The 15-year-old, from Stowon- the-Wold, secured a host of honours at the prestigious British Showjumping Scope Festival in Staffordshire.

She won four rugs and 16 rosettes in the newcomers and foxhunters masters categories, as well as the onemetre 20 open, adventurer and members cup classes, on ponies Minison and Another Twisted.

Hegarty has also qualified both of her ponies for next month’s Horse of the Year show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.

Her mother, Jill Blackwell, said: “Rosie is self-taught and been riding since she could walk and is really dedicated rider.”

She is also looking for sponsorship and anyone interested can contact Blackwell on 07899 053696.
