Watson scores as Evesham's young guns secure first win

EVESHAM Under 17s started their North Midlands League season in style with a 23-12 victory at Worcester.
The hosts scored the first try but Wilf Watson picked up to dive over under the posts with Mike Harris converting and then adding a penalty.
Harris extended the lead with another penalty but Worcester were let back in via a converted try in the second period.
Evesham’s Oli Salcedo was yellow carded with 10 minutes left but Worcester could not take advantage with Harris adding a penalty and converting Watson’s late second try.
Josh Perry, Fred Hopper and Jamie Colls have made the final round of Worcestershire Under 16s selection trials today.
