EVESHAM United Robins started the season with a fine 4-1 win at Barometrics in Cheltenham Youth League Under 14s Division One.

The visitors struck first through Tom Lennard from a cross by Dom Taylor who side-footed home after the same two players combined.

Taylor fired Lennard’s pass into the net in the second period and James Noble made it four before Barometrics grabbed a consolation.

  • Badsey Rangers continued their winning start with a 4-2 triumph at Tewkesbury Town Pumas in Ambassador Evesham League Under 12s Pool ‘C’.

Alfredo Botella La Grange bagged a brace as the visitors led 2-1 at the interval before completing his hat-trick late on. Tom Linley powered in a 20-yard half-volley for the other goal, while Joe Bagnall hit the bar from distance.

Meanwhile, Eckington JFC won 3-1 at Broadway United Youth in Pool ‘A’ despite conceding an early goal.

Max Brothwood equalised with a header and put the villagers ahead with a leftfoot drive before Max Randall slotted in a third during an end-to-end second period.

Eckington Juniors Under 10s were in fine form against Alcester Town Juniors, winning 5-0 in Pool One.

Tristan Webby linked well with Richie Durie to open the scoring and went on to complete his hat-trick with Bastie Brothwood and Lewis Danter adding to the tally. In the Under Nines West Pool, a treble from Harvey Sagar and Oliver Marlow’s strike gave Eckington Juniors a 4-0 half-time lead against Droitwich Spa.

The visitors pulled three goals back without reply but Jak Thomas smashed home for the hosts for a 5-3 win.

Eckington Eagles sealed a 8-3 triumph at Crowle Searchers after conceding the first. Charlie Kendrick grabbed four with William Moore (2), Dylan Clucas and Ben Peters chipping in.
