MP joins in Phoenix fun
WEST Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin opened the Pershore Phoenix charity dragon boat race day.
She dotted the eyes of a dragon’s head in a traditional Chinese celebration.
There was keen competition between 14 teams and trophies were presented by Great Britain coach Alan Parfrey and Sharon Wichetts from Acorns Children’s Hospice. The overall winner was Dynamiq from Kinetic ahead of Jessie’s Warriors and Webbs.
A free training course for novices aged over 14 starts on Sunday, September 30, at Arden Sailing Club, Defford.
