EVESHAM Under 17s continued their impressive start to the season with a first win over Coventry Broadstreet.
They won 33-20 at home and next face Bromsgrove in the North Midlands League on Sunday, October 7.
The Vale side’s mobile forwards dominated with excellent work in the loose led by captain Matt Camp.
Flanker Alex Stoddart set the tone with big tackles and number eight Dom Berry crashed over to score the first try.
Wilf Watson turned defence into attack to set up Berry for his second and intercepted the ball for another try.
After the forwards won a line-out, Watson off-loaded to Camp, who passed for Oli Salcedo to power over.
Mike Harris kicked three conversions with Broadstreet limited to a penalty before the break.
Debutant Henry Murray’s good wing work led to Evesham’s only second-half score which completed manof- the-match Berry’s hattrick.
Harris converted before Broadstreet bagged three tries.
