JUST three points separate Honda Yuasa Racing teammates Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal heading into this weekend’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship penultimate round at Silverstone.

Shedden leads the way from Neal after winning two of the three races at a rainlashed Rockingham last month, while Jason Plato, who won the other, is 29 points further back.

Neal was sixth in the first race in Northamptonshire and runner-up in the second and third.

Shedden has never won the BTCC before while Neal is looking to retain his crown from last season and make it four titles to his name.

Pershore Trading Estate rivals Rob Austin Racing head to the meeting with Austin sitting 14th in the standings with 85 points and Will Bratt 22nd with 21.

The championship concludes on October 21.
