Surfs up for teen ace Daniel for national joy

AN Evesham teenager won the annual Sea Cadet Windsurfing title in his first time at the national finals.

Daniel Ludlow, 15, beat contestants from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England in Southport, coming first in the 6.8- metre sail race.

On his return, he was congratulated by Robert Adams and Richard Morris, chairmen of Worcestershire County Council and Wychavon District Council respectively.

Evesham Sea Cadets and Marine Cadet Detachment meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm until 9.30pm in Shinehill Lane, South Littleton.
