Juniors beaten in nine-goal thriller

ECKINGTON Under 12s Juniors were edged out 5-4 at Alcester Town in a thrilling Ambassador League encounter.

The visitors dominated for the majority of the first-half with Sam Peters, Dan Cotton, Myles Cooper and Joe Lambon all finding the net.

Alcester were always dangerous on the counter and scored twice to half the deficit before Eckington had a goal chalked off for a foul on the keeper.

In the second-half, Alcester scored another two goals to draw level at 4-4 before going on to secure victory.

Eckington Under 12s JFC went second in the table with a 5-2 victory over Lenches.

Ben Oliver scored twice, alongside strikes from Matt Sime and Max Brothwood, to give JFC a comfortable advantage.

Although the Lenches pulled two back, Max Brothwood wrapped the game up for Eckington.

The Under 10s Juniors won 8-0 at Campden with hattricks from Tristan Webby and Jacey Emms. Lewis Danter and Ben Tyson were also on target.

Eckington Under 10s Eagles returned from Bretforton with a fine 5-1 victory.

Nathaniel Durrant scored a hat-trick, while Thomas Welland and Sophie Stone completed the rout.

Eckington Under Nines Juniors remain unbeaten this season after defeated a competitive Pershore side 5-0. Louis Whitmore, Harvey Sagar, Jacob Buckley, Oliver Marlow and Sam Brealey were the goalscorers.
