EVESHAM AND DISTRICT LEAGUE

LAST season’s Evesham and District League Division Two champions Wyre Barbedwyre opened up their title defence against club-mates Wyre Livewyres.

Chris Gooderham won all of his singles matches for Livewyres with Phil Steers and Ray Griffiths making up the other three victories as they recorded a 6-4 win.

Littleton Giants had a convincing 7-3 win over Bengeworth Wolves, despite Lucy Mander beating Tony Spinks and Alex Gretton alongside single joy for Bob Bryant.
