NORTH Cotswolds Young Cricketers Club are desperate to find a new chairman with a love of the sport.

They were formed in 1999 by the late Brian Gee to give youngsters aged from eight to 17 the chance to enjoy cricket in a safe environment.

The Blockley-based outfit went from strength-tostrength but are now in need of an injection of new enthusiasm to take them forward.

Teams compete at under 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s level in the Oxfordshire League.

President Shaun Williams said: “This could be the difference for the club having a future or not as the more people who know of our search, the better chance we will have of filling the post.

“We have been struggling for a couple of seasons but still have four players in county age group teams and 40 regularly training.”

Anyone interested can call Williams on 07989 630586.
