Return to action in cup ties

GLOUCESTERSHIRE Northern Senior Football League clubs will hope for some action on Saturday after the wet weather.

All last weekend’s games fell foul of waterlogged pitches but Moreton Rangers now go straight into a Gloucestershire FA Senior Amateur (North) Cup quarter-final against Cheltenham Civil Service.

In league action, Bourton Rovers head to Barnwood United, while Winchcombe Town entertain Star in Division One (both 2pm).

Other quarter-finals see Moreton Rangers Colts taking on Leckhampton Rovers and Bourton Rovers ‘A’ facing Shurdington Rovers Reserves in the Minor and Primary Cups respectively.

In rugby union, Shipstonhead to Banbury in Midlands Two West (South) on Saturday, while Berks/ Bucks and Oxon Premier Division leaders Stow-on-the-Wold host Gosford All Blacks.
