EVESHAM United made it back-to-back wins in Calor Southern League Division One South and West for the first time this season with a 3-1 victory at Cinderford Town.

Brother Joey and Lance Smith shared the goals that ensured United gained revenge for a 3-0 defeat against the Foresters earlier in the season.

Manager Paul Collicutt, returning to the Robins' dug-out following illness, witnesses a dour first-half, with the only bright spot being his side's 39th-minute opener.

Marcus Palmer split the home defence and Joey Smith confidently slotted the ball past keeper Alex Harris.

Evesham added a second four minutes after the break. Skipper Richard Mansell's shot hit the post but the rebound fell kindly for Lance Smith to score his 12th goal of the campaign.

Joey Smith bagged United's third in the 68th minute, rising at the back post to powerfully head home Carl Brown's corner.

Former Evesham player Sam Hunt pulled one back for the hosts with nine minutes left but it was the visitors who finished stronger.

Evesham: Barnfather, Tambling, Wellon, J Smith, Hitchman, Sauntson, Jackson, Brown (Davis 73), L Smith (Dovey 69), Palmer (Holloway 82), Mansell. Sub not used: Wilson.

Attendance: 122.
