A COURSE to help companies protect themselves from cyber attack is to be held in Malvern. The Cyber Savvy Training Course is for professional services personnel and will be held at the National Cyber Skills Centre on Malvern Hills Science Park on Tuesday, June 10.

The one-day course will provide a practical introduction to cyber security and will demonstrate what hackers can do to data and computer systems. The style of the course will include a self-assessment of cyber-risk, and several short interactive assignments too.

The event is aimed at professional services sectors such as solicitors, accountants, management accountants, consultants and business coaches, as well as other professionals. It is also applicable to business owners, shareholders, non-executive directors, and public sector and local authority personnel, who may hold sensitive documents and information about businesses or organisations for whom they work. The delegate must use a PC or laptop in day-to-day business life. No technical knowledge of hardware, software, or network equipment is required.
