A TEENAGE girl was grabbed by a man while walking alone in Tewkesbury in the middle of the night.

The 16-year-old was walking along the A38 bypass between the roundabout at the end of Snowdonia Road and the other leading to Monterey Road between 12.20am and 12.30am on Sunday, August 23, when the incident occurred.

A dark grey car stopped a short distance ahead of her before the driver reversed and pulled up next to her.

A man got out and approached the girl from behind, grabbing both her arms. She managed to fight him off and ran home.

The man is described as Asian, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, in his 40s and had black medium length hair.

Gloucestershire police is appealing for anyone who saw the attack to contact them on 101 quoting incident 25-s-230815.
