EVESHAM council workers have been forced to pick up furniture, including chairs, dumped kerbside in a town road last week.

The flytipping in Charity Crescent was described jokingly by Laura Van Toller as a "pleasant sight", when she reported it to the Evesham District Council - as it was not one of its organised collections.

A spokesman for the authority said: "It was reported on Wednesday, February 20, and the fly-tip was removed on the Friday, February 22."

The spokesman added to request a bulky item collection, residents can simply visit the authority's website wychavon.gov.uk.
