A 36-year-old man has been committed for trial at crown court accused of 10 sex offences including the rape of a girl aged under 13.

At a brief hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 12, Rick Siderfin, of Moreton Road, Stow-on-the-Wold, was conditionally bailed to attend Gloucester Crown Court on April 24.

There were no representations from either prosecution or defence lawyers.

The court list showed that Siderfin is accused of the rape of a girl under 13 between April 24 and April 27, 2017.

He is also charged with another sexual assault on the girl between the same dates.

Further charges allege that between April 24, 2017 and June 27, 2019 he intentionally sexually touched a child aged between nine and 11.

He is also accused of two charges of taking an indecent video, category A, of a child under 13, between the same dates; taking an indecent still photograph of a child, under 13, category B, between the same dates; and the taking of an indecent still photograph of a child, under 13,category C, between the same dates.

It is further alleged he distributed indecent photographs of a child, both category A and category B, between April 24 2017 and June 27 2019; and he is charged with the making of indecent photographs between April 24 2017 and June 27 2019, namely six category A images; seven category B images and five category C images.
