WORCESTER City’s squad for next season is continuing to take shape with four players retained and two departing.

Left-back Jamie Smith, defender Luke English, midfielder Chris Withington and the versatile Levi Andoh have all agreed terms ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

However centre-back Callum McFarlane has been released while the Midland League Premier Division outfit have confirmed striker Jamal Lawrence departed prior to the end of the season.

Physio Emma Gregory will also leave City after “receiving an offer from a rugby club in the local area”.

Smith chalked up 21 appearances before his season came to an abrupt end due to a career-threatening neck problem.

English has been a regular for Worcester, starting 31 matches and scoring six times, and also captained the team on nine occasions.

Withington has played 32 games since his arrival last summer while Andoh who joined from Cradley Town in February made six outings.

The retention of Smith, English, Withington and Andoh follows the announcement that midfielder Liam Lockett has signed a one-year contract extension.

Goalkeeper Dan Jezeph, striker Jordan Harrison and playmaker Ethan Moran are also on contracts for next season.
